Payment Terms

Terms governing payments, settlements, chargebacks, and financial transactions for Gletra marketplace orders, home service bookings, and wallet operations.

Updated June 19, 2026 5 min read Official Gletra Policy

These Payment Terms govern all financial transactions processed through Gletra Technologies Pvt. Ltd., including product purchases on our multi-vendor marketplace, home service bookings for electricians, plumbers, carpenters, cleaners, and appliance repair professionals, Gletra Wallet top-ups and payments, and seller settlement disbursements.

Gletra acts as a payment intermediary, collecting buyer payments and disbursing seller and service provider earnings according to the schedules defined in our Seller Withdrawal Policy and Service Booking Policy. By completing a transaction on Gletra, you agree to these Payment Terms in addition to our Terms & Conditions.

All payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. Gletra does not store full credit or debit card numbers. Users must provide accurate payment information and authorize charges at checkout or booking confirmation.

These terms address accepted payment methods, authorization and capture procedures, failed payment handling, currency, taxes, chargebacks, and refund routing. For wallet-specific rules, see our Wallet Policy.

Payment Authorization and Capture

When you place an order or confirm a service booking, Gletra authorizes payment for the total amount including product price, service fees, shipping, applicable taxes, and platform charges displayed at checkout.

  • Marketplace orders: payment captured when seller confirms or ships (or immediately for digital goods)
  • Service bookings: partial or full prepayment captured at booking; balance on completion
  • Wallet top-ups: captured immediately upon successful gateway response
  • Multi-vendor carts: each seller item processed as a separate transaction where required by payment partner

Pricing, Fees, and Taxes

All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise noted. GST and applicable state taxes are calculated at checkout based on product category, seller location, and delivery address.

Gletra service fees, payment gateway fees (where passed to buyer), and COD handling charges are disclosed before payment confirmation. Sellers set product and service prices; Gletra is not responsible for seller pricing errors but will facilitate corrections before capture where possible.

Failed and Declined Payments

Orders with failed payment authorization are not confirmed. Common failure reasons include insufficient funds, incorrect card details, bank declines, and UPI timeout.

  1. Retry payment within 30 minutes from My Orders or booking screen
  2. After 30 minutes, the order or booking hold is released automatically
  3. Repeated failed attempts may trigger temporary payment method restriction for fraud prevention
  4. Contact support@gletra.com if your bank confirms deduction but Gletra shows failure

Off-Platform Payment Prohibition

Sellers, service providers, and buyers must not solicit or accept payment outside Gletra's approved checkout, wallet, or booking payment flows. Off-platform payments void Gletra Customer Protection and may result in account termination for all parties involved.

Seller earnings are settled per the Seller Withdrawal Policy (standard T+7 after delivery confirmation). Service provider payments are released 24 hours after job completion unless a dispute is filed. Gletra deducts applicable commission, payment gateway fees, and tax withholdings before disbursement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. At checkout, select Gletra Wallet and choose "Use partial wallet balance." The remaining amount is charged to your selected UPI or card method.

This rare scenario occurs during gateway timeout. The amount is typically auto-reversed within 5–7 business days. Contact support@gletra.com with transaction ID for expedited reconciliation.

Gletra does not charge additional platform fees for EMI. Your bank may charge interest or processing fees per their EMI terms, disclosed before you confirm.

Cash payment may be available for select service categories where indicated at booking. Off-platform digital payments solicited via chat violate our policies and void customer protection.

Each seller's items are taxed based on their registered GST state and the product category. Tax breakdown is shown per seller at checkout before payment.

Gletra processes payments in Indian Rupees (INR). International cards may be accepted where supported by our payment partners, with conversion handled by the issuing bank.
